What's new in Mumble

Multiple output templates per meeting, a full content history for every note, and Skills you can run from any note or meeting.

Meetings

• New: Pick output templates per meeting. Choose a main summary template plus any number of additional output templates right from the recorder. Set your default under Settings → Meeting.
• New: Recording restore. Recover a meeting recording from a local backup if something goes wrong with the cloud copy.
• More resilient cloud uploads: stalled meeting uploads now restart on their own.
• Speakers picked from the live transcript persist into the meeting roster as you record.

Notes

• New: Note history. Every note keeps a full content history with a visual diff. Open it from the note menu to browse past versions.
• AI Notes you opted out of auto-regeneration now stay put. Manual regeneration still works.

Skills

• New: Run output skills from any note or meeting. Bundled skills like Personalized Podcast and Slides can now be triggered directly from the meeting page.
• New: Audible completion cue. A short voice cue plays when a live skill conversation finishes, so you don't need to look at the screen.

Other

• New: Local model onboarding flow. Cleaner download flow with Download / Downloading / Manage states under Settings → Local models.
• Home now adapts to your window size, with one-tap voice note and quick meeting shortcuts.
• Shows an offline notice on startup when there's no network.
• Dictation reliability improvement and small fixes across People, Tasks, Calendar, and Inbox.

Voice Skills

• New: Voice Skills Launch Pad. Press Fn twice anywhere on your Mac to open a global launcher. One tap to start a Voice Note, Task Note, or Meeting Recording, plus search across every installed skill.
• New: Voice Skills Page. A dedicated Skills page to discover, install, and manage skills. Browse the catalog under Discover, see what you've installed under My Skills, and request a skill that doesn't exist yet. Watch Demo

Notes

• New: AI Notes. Generate AI Notes from any note. The note nests under the source note and uses every voice block in that note as input. It auto-regenerates when the source changes, so your structured note stays in sync. Watch Demo
• New: Tables. Tables are now supported in the rich-text editor.

Meetings

• New: Pick a different output language when regenerating a meeting summary, without changing your default.
• Add or remove attendees on any meeting, during or after the recording.
• Pick speakers directly from the live transcript while you record.
• More resilient system audio capture, recovery when Bluetooth headphones switch modes mid-recording, and a fix for stalled cloud uploads that could previously lock a meeting.

Dictation

• New: Redesigned dictation panel with more formats and actions. Concise, Bullets, Emoji, Custom, GIF, Open/Find, and AI Skills are all one tap away. Watch Demo
• New: Toggle each format option on or off under Quick Settings to decide what shows up in the panel.
• Global Dictation is now on by default for every user.

Other

• In Progress and Done are now separate columns on Home.
• Send feedback directly from an expanded skill run card.
• Task assignee now appears before the checkbox for easier scanning.
• More reliable local model download cancellation.

Dictation

• Improved Bullets format: restructures your dictation more clearly while preserving your original meaning and order
• More reliable dictation startup and paste behavior
• Improved cloud connection stability to reduce reconnects

Local mode

• Local models can no longer be deleted while a dictation or meeting is still running
• Fixed issues where local model state could get stuck after canceling or deleting
• Clearer feedback when managing local voice models

Meeting notes

• Record any meeting directly from your Mac. No bot joins your call
• Live transcription with automatic speaker labels
• AI-generated summaries
• Works with Google Meet, Zoom, Teams, and other meeting apps

Dictation

• System-wide dictation that works in any app
• 4 output formats: Default, Bullets, Custom, and Emoji
• 1 voice shortcut: Open and search on website with voice
• Define your own output formats with custom prompts (e.g. rewrite as email, translate, shorten)
• Press a hotkey to start, press an arrow key to pick your format

Voice notes

• Capture ideas on the go. Mumble rewrites them into clean, structured notes
• Smart Notes auto-organize related voice memos by topic

Local mode

• Recording and transcription run on-device. Audio never leaves your Mac.
• Dictation runs entirely locally
• Meeting summaries use cloud-based frontier AI model (Anthropic, Open AI and Google). Only the transcript text is sent, never audio
• Requires Apple Silicon with 24GB+ RAM

• AI extracts action items from task notes automatically
• Create tasks manually with assignees and due dates
